FireLogic™ F.A.Q.
Question 1.
What is FireLogic™

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
1.
FireLogic™ is an Eco-Friendly, Non-Health-Hazardous and extremely Cost-Effective Fire Retardant product (and also a line of Fire Protection-related products and technologies).

For more, please Click Here to go to the FireLogic™ main page on this microsite.  There you can click on links to videos on FireLogic™ (and the company), including a Demonstration of FireLogic™ at work -- so that you can see FireLogic™ being used on a random substrate (in this case, paper, one of the things that catch fire most easiliy, and burn very quickly), and thence stopping it from burning.

Question 2.
Who makes FireLogic™

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
2.
The company Innovative Ecologics OY ("IE"), Helsinki, Finland, owns the FireLogic™ brand, and ALL related Intellectual Property(ies).

FireLogic™ was developed by the principals of IE, the scientists, engineers, etc. who are the collective founders of IE

Outside of IE's Laboratories in Finland, and factories in Serbia, FireLogic™ is manufactured and marketed (under license from IE) globally through IE's international network of Licensees.

Question 3.
How can we learn a little about Innovative Ecologics?  Who are the owners / key people?

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
3.

The scientists, engineers, etc. who are the collective founders of IE -- are also amongst its charter shareholders, as are a few very experienced international business professionals passionate about the Environment, Climate Change, Sustainability and Greentech, who have brought their resources, skills, experience and efforts to bear in co-promoting and driving IE

The technologists behind IE are not showmen but men and women of great integrity, humility (and dare-we-say Brilliance), and prefer to shun all publicity at this time, preferring instead to stick to their beloved science and engineering process development roles.  The rest of IE's top leadership / stakeholders have been named as Contacts on this site.

IE is also starting to work with a few players from the VC / PE space, as well as a few strategic investors who have been extremely impressed by IE's very original technologies.  Obviously, as things mature, (some of) these parties will be amongst IE's stakeholders as well.

Question 4.
What is the difference between FireStop, mentioned in some of the videos, and FireLogic™

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
4.
When this revolutionary and game-changing Fire-Retardant product was being developed, it was initially named FireStop.  But later, it was discovered that the name FireStop could not be trademarked in the  US / EU markets (possibly because some other party had reserved that name for some other type of use).  At that time, it was decided to rename this proprietary Fire-Retardant (technology, product and product-line) FireLogic™. So henceforth, IE's Fire-Retardant technologiy(ies) and product(s) only bear IE's brand-name FireLogic™

When IE's video materials are updated in the future, this will be rectified, and only IE's proprietary brand-name, FireLogic™, will be featured on all IE's marketing collateral (and other documentation).

Question 5.
In which state does the FireLogic™ product come -- Powder / Liquid / Gel?

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
5.
When shipping the base chemical to Mixing / Manufacturing facilities, IE will generally ship the FireLogic™ base material as (pre-mixed) powder.  Same goes for IE's other ingredient products used for (further) mixing.

As to the final end-use product, it depends of course on the use-case, or application -- how or on what surface / substrate it is to be used.

For mixing in Paint / Fire Tenders -- it should generally be powder.

Gel can be used on various strata, by brushing -- like Wood / Electric Cables / Plastic / etc.

While on Clothes / Tents / Tarpauline / Curtains, etc. -- generally a FireLogic™ liquid mixture should be sprayed.

Question 6.
What is FireLogic™ composed of?

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
6.
While IE will not of course reveal its proprietary technology and composition for FireLogic™, the following can be stated.

Regular FireLogic™ mixtures for non-synthetic fiber-based fabrics or materials use a nano-structured non-carbon mineral mixture, which is readily bio-degradable in nature, and is hypo-allergenic, and 100% eco-friendly.

In the event of an accidental spillage or leakage, it will cause no harm at all to humans, animals or plantlife.  (The one exception is -- if any of IE's other Pest-Repellant products had already been mixed in; in which case, of course, the anti-fungal / anti-microbial ingredients will remain active, and continue to do what they were engineered to do.)

The FireLogic™ material simply biodegrades relative quickly into plant food over time.

Question 7.
What is the quantity required for making 1 Square Metre of Cloth fire-proof?

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
7.
On typical Denim  / Blue-Jeans, (per sqm. of fabric) the proportion of the FireLogic™ is approximately 40-50 ml, granting fire-resistance up to 1,000⁰ C - 1,500⁰ C. Of course, this can vary slightly based on the thickness of the cloth, moisture content, etc.

Question 8.
What is the quantity required for making 1 sqm. of Wood surface fire-proof?

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
8.
For a typical wood surface of say, 1 sqm. -- approx. 100-150 ml, depending on porosity / density / hardness of the wood, and also the moisture content of the wood.

Regular FireLogic™ treatments are not Gels, but are basically a more watery liquid, because it is typically a 80% water-based mixture (depending on purpose and desired treatment levels or purposes). A construction or structural wood treatment may therefore hold 5-10% mixture, and 90%-95% water. Whereas a forest-fire or wildfire resistance mixture, to be dropped from an airplane or sprayed by a mobile fire fighting team -- may contain 15%-20% mixture, for faster, more immediate and longer-lasting effect during a fire, or in preventing a fire by pre-treating cellulose, or forest or lumber surfaces.

Question 9.
How much powder is required for putting in a 3,000 litres Fire Tender?
(Tenders are legal commercial Proposals sent in response to a specific governmental / other Fire Protection Authority having jurisdiction over a specific area or other jurisdiction)

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
9.
It depends on the use-case.  We would look at the specifications and use-cases on a case-by-case basis to make the determination of which type, and how much -- of our product(s) to apply to obtain the best results.

Question 10.
How much powder is required for making 1 litre of Fire-Proofing Paint?

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
10.
It depends on the use-case, i.e., what type of paint, water-based or oil-based, on what surfaces is the paint supposed to be applied, etc.

We would look at the specifications and use-cases on a case-by-case basis to make the determination of which type and how much of our product(s) to apply to obtain the best results.

Question 11.
What should be the ratio of powder used for making Electrical cables Fireproof?

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
11.
This should not be answered casually, as electrical cables can vary widely.  We would look at the specifications and use-cases on a case-by-case basis to make the determination of which type and how much of our product(s) to apply to obtain the best results.

Question 12.
What about Gels, for use with Plastic / Rubber / Metal surfaces?  How many coats of Gel is required to make Plastic / Rubber / Metal surfaces Fireproof?

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
12.
Any impregnation into plastics or rubbers requires a percentage of 1%-5% of CarboLogic, a FireLogic™ technology, but based off of a (carbon) nano-structure as its base.

FireLogic™ HydroGels are fire-fighting mixtures based off of the same main ingredient of FireLogic™, nano-structured minerals, but with a bio-degradable and eco-friendly Gel, which allows more effective fire-fighting through the prevention of massive water-usage to put out fires (up to 80% less) due to the Gel sticking onto burning and non-burning surfaces and immediately acting on active and non-active surfaces and suffocating or decombusting burning material or gases, and treating structures and molecules from having the ability to combust.

FireLogic™ HydroGel mixtures can be a mixture also of IE's proprietary CarboLogic product, in order to be used as portable extinguishers for various purposes, or purely based on IE's proprietary CarboLogic technology for electrical fires, avoiding use of water and conducting materials, and will hold effectiveness even up to 4,000⁰ Celsius, but remain eco-safe and inexpensive in comparison to the Competition's current and older technologies.

Note that CarboLogic is mainly a set of specially nano-structured carbon technologies for impregnation.

A coating for paints and coatings for metals of various types use CarboPoly, an IE proprietary polymer-like coating that sticks to, and remains on -- smooth or semi-porous surfaces, even on metals or plastics, and is highly durable, and produces heat dissipation, as well as its main function of heat resistance, up to the thousands of degrees Celsius -- at pennies on the dollar. It also acts as a wonderful insulator, not only from heat but from cold.

It is generally applied in a coating of 3, to 5, to 9 mm, depending on the desired insulation levels, even though a 3 mm coating can grant, easily and reliably, a protection rating of 1,500⁰ Celsius for 10+ hours or more on metal and non-metal surfaces.

Question 13.
What is the life (effective lasting period) of the product in different usage scenarios, i.e., durations after which it will need re-application?

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
13.
Life of the product depends on how much moisture the substrate comes into contact with after application.

If it's a fabric like Blue Jeans, FireLogic™ mixtures have been engineered the application of which will cause the Fire-Resistance to last for up to 30 wash cycles.

If it's wood in a forest or a meadow, it depends on how much rain the tree bark / grass / etc. would come under. Generally speaking, a simple 5%-10% solution would last approximately 5-6 months in a Californian forest with average Californian rainfall.

In the case of Construction or Structural wood (which typically do not come into much contact with rain), a normal FireLogic™ application will technically outlast the life of the building.

Now this last scenario does not take into account covering the surface (post-treatment with FireLogic™) with a coat of waterproof paint or lacquer.

Note that in addition, the FireLogic™ treatment can be modified to grant it anti-fungal properties -- by the addition of some of our separate proprietary eco-safe components, rendering it insect-proof as well.

If the surface (post-treatment with FireLogic™) is covered with a coat or more of waterproof paint or lacquer, this will effectively make the effects of the FireLogic™ treatment last indefinitely, even upon long-term contact with moisture, and conditions of extreme humidity. This will not limit the protection of the treatment, and/or the anti-fungal characteristic.

In a regular paint, CarboLogic is added to impart temperature insulation or heat resistance.

IE also has a mixture for UV protection, to impart Sun-Damage Resistance to the paint coating itself, as well as to the building. This also would cost only pennies on the dollar.

Question 14.
Are there any Trials records and/or Test reports on FireLogic™

Answer
________
Back to the
FireLogic™
main page
14.
As with all of IE's products, when this (Fire Retardant) product was being developed, it underwent all the necessary steps.  However none of those documents were generated in the English language, or for international consumption.

Now IE is in the process of establishing its all-new corporate setup (as an EU Start-up company), laboratories, etc. in Finland, although with some of the manufacturing in Serbia.  All of the (Finland / EU / Global) Patenting / Trademarking for ALL of IE's (many) technologies, processes and products is under way, under the Finnish umbrella organization and parent company.

Once completed, all of IE's English-language certifications / documents will be kept on hand to provide to the right parties, at the right junctures.
